Caramel Apple Dump Cake

A simple and nostalgic dessert featuring layers of spiced apple pie filling and gooey caramel, enveloped by a tender cake-like crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of apple pie filling
  • 1 cup of caramel sauce
  • 1 box of yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
  • Chopped nuts (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish and lightly grease it.
  3. Layer the apple pie filling evenly in the baking dish.
  4. Drizzle the caramel sauce generously over the apple layer.
  5. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the caramel and apple layers.
  6. Pour the melted butter evenly over the cake mix.
  7. Add cinnamon and/or chopped nuts, if using.
  8. Bake for about 40-45 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Best served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top.
