Instructions

  1. Prepare the Apple Filling: Core and peel the apples, then dice them into small pieces. Toss with a sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar if desired.
  2. Whisk the Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
  3. Mix the Wet Ingredients: Beat eggs, then add milk and vanilla, whisking until combined. Pour into dry ingredients and mix gently.
  4. Fold in the Apples: Carefully fold diced apples into the batter until evenly mixed.
  5. Heat the Oil: Heat vegetable oil in a pan until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the Fritters: Drop batter into hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown on each side, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Make the Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until silky-smooth. Adjust thickness as desired.
  8. Drizzle the Glaze: Drizzle glaze over warm fritters or dip them into the bowl.
