The Ultimate Guava Cheesecake

A creamy and tropical guava cheesecake nestled on a crunchy biscuit base, perfect for summer gatherings or quiet indulgence.

  • 300 g Tennis biscuits
  • 150 g unsalted butter (melted)
  • 700 g cream cheese
  • 250 g castor sugar
  • 4 extra large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 200 ml whipping cream
  • 200 g guavas (for decorating)
  • 500 g guavas (fresh, chopped, and peeled)
  • 80 g sugar (white granulated)
  • 1 tbsp lime juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Crush the Tennis biscuits in a food processor until fine crumbs form.
  3. Mix the biscuit crumbs with melted butter until combined.
  4. Press the mixture into a 9-inch springform pan and bake for 10 minutes until slightly golden.
  5. Beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy in a mixing bowl.
  6. Add the castor sugar and vanilla extract gradually, mixing well.
  7. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
  8. Pour in the whipping cream and mix until silky-smooth.
  9. Blend the chopped guavas, sugar, and lime juice into a smooth puree.
  10. Mix the guava puree into the cream cheese mixture until combined.
  11. Pour the guava cheesecake filling over the cooled biscuit base.
  12. Bake in the oven for about 50-60 minutes until the center is slightly jiggly.
  13. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight, before serving.
  14. Decorate the top with sliced fresh guavas before serving.

Notes

To prevent cracking, consider using a water bath while baking. For best results, refrigerate overnight.
