Mixed Berry Cheesecake Danish

A delightful combination of flaky puff pastry, creamy cheesecake, and juicy mixed berries that creates a perfect treat for any occasion.

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp milk (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the puff pastry by thawing it if using frozen, then rolling it out on a floured surface.
  3. Create squares by cutting the pastry into 3×3 inch pieces.
  4. Make the cheesecake filling by combining cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl.
  5. Assemble the danishes by placing the filling on each pastry square and topping with mixed berries.
  6. Fold the corners of each pastry square towards the center and press to seal.
  7. Brush the egg wash over each Danish.
  8. Bake on a parchment-lined sheet for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before serving.
  10. Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar.

Notes

For a vegan adaptation, use vegan cream cheese and a flaxseed egg in place of the egg.
