Thanksgiving Piecaken

A whimsical dessert combining a pumpkin pie, cinnamon cheesecake, and spiced cake into a delicious Thanksgiving centerpiece.

  • 1 Pumpkin Pie
  • 1 Cinnamon Cheesecake
  • 1 Spice Cake
  • Whipped Cream for Topping
  • Pumpkin Pie Spice for Garnish

Instructions

  1. Bake the Pumpkin Pie: Start with the crust. Roll out your pie dough and place it in a 9-inch pie dish. Crimp the edges. Mix the filling in a bowl. Bake it at 350°F (175°C) for about 50 minutes. Let it cool completely.
  2. Bake the Spice Cake: Prepare your cake batter by mixing flour, sugar, baking powder, spices, eggs, and apple sauce. Pour the batter into a greased pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Let cool in the pan.
  3. Make the Cinnamon Cheesecake: Beat together cream cheese and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and incorporate cinnamon. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 45-50 minutes and let chill.
  4. Layer the Piecaken: Place one spice cake layer on a serving plate. Add the cooled pumpkin pie on top. Add the second spice cake layer. Top with cinnamon cheesecake. Add another spice cake layer if desired.
  5. Finish with Whipped Cream: Spread or pipe whipped cream on the final layer and garnish with pumpkin pie spice.

Notes

Serve with extra whipped cream and consider pairing with spiced cider or coffee.
