Heavenly Homemade Apple Cobbler

A delightful apple cobbler that warms both the heart and belly, perfect for cozy evenings.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples by slicing them and tossing with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Let sit to release juices.
  2. Make the topping by mixing melted butter, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt with milk until just combined.
  3. Assemble the cobbler by spreading the apple mixture in a baking dish and dolloping the batter over the top.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving, ideally with ice cream or heavy cream.
