Glazed Strawberry Bread

A delightful and nostalgic glazed strawberry bread perfect for sharing with family and friends, bursting with juicy strawberries and finished with a sweet glaze.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups strawberries, chopped (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1/4 cup strawberries, pureed (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper and spray it with non-stick spray.
  2. Mix the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Melt the unsalted butter in a separate bowl until liquefied and let it cool.
  4. Combine the cooled melted butter with eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, folding gently.
  6. Add the chopped strawberries and mix gently to combine.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Whip up the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, pureed strawberries, and milk until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled bread.
