Garlic Butter Meatball Pasta

A cozy dish featuring tender meatballs in a luscious garlic butter sauce, served over perfectly cooked pasta.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef or pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan for sauce
  • 10 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef or pork, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form meatballs by scooping out about a tablespoon of the mixture and rolling it into a ball. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake meatballs for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Cook pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, reserve about a cup of pasta water, then drain.
  5. Make garlic butter sauce by melting butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute.
  6. Pour in heavy cream, whisk to combine, and add reserved pasta water and additional grated Parmesan cheese until melted into a creamy sauce.
  7. Add baked meatballs to the sauce, then toss in cooked pasta until everything is well coated.

Notes

For a lighter option, use ground turkey or chicken. Adding a squeeze of lemon juice enhances the flavors.
