Garlic Butter Steak & Cheddar Potato Bake

A comforting classic that combines juicy steak with creamy, cheesy potatoes, all covered in aromatic garlic butter.

Ingredients

  • Steaks (Juicy cuts such as ribeye or sirloin)
  • Potatoes (Sliced, Yukon Gold or Russet recommended)
  • Garlic (Minced)
  • Butter (Unsalted)
  • Cheddar Cheese (Shredded)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the potatoes by slicing them thinly and mixing them with melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer half of the potato mixture in a baking dish, sprinkle with cheese, and repeat.
  4. Prepare the steaks by seasoning them and searing in a hot skillet with olive oil for 3–4 minutes on each side.
  5. Add butter to the skillet and baste the steaks, then place them on the potatoes in the baking dish.
  6. Combine by drizzling the remaining garlic butter over the dish, then cover with foil and bake for 30–35 minutes.
  7. Final touches: remove the foil, sprinkle with cheese, and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until bubbly.
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes
