Greek Yogurt Brownies

Deliciously fudgy brownies made healthier with Greek yogurt, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth without the guilt.

  • 1/2 cup (120g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup (115g) unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar or coconut sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (90g) dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the Greek yogurt, applesauce, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  3. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  6. Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 25-30 minutes.
  7. Allow the brownies to cool for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

These brownies can be served with ice cream, chocolate sauce, or whipped cream. You can also add variations like peanut butter swirls or mint chocolate.
