Easy Homemade Apple Cobbler

  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the apples by combining them with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice in a large mixing bowl. Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Make the topping by whisking together flour, baking powder, and salt. Then, add melted butter, buttermilk, egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Assemble the cobbler by pouring the apple mixture into a baking dish and dolloping the topping over the apples.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
