Homemade Strawberry Danish

A delightful Strawberry Danish with flaky puff pastry, creamy filling, and fresh strawberries, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Unroll the sheet of puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Slice the pastry into four rectangles.
  4. Combine the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
  5. Create the filling by spreading a layer of strawberry jam and a dollop of the cream cheese mixture on each rectangle.
  6. Brush the pastry borders with the beaten egg.
  7. Bake the pastries in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Let the Danish cool for a few minutes before serving.
