  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the cheese and parsley: Fold in the shredded cheddar and chopped parsley into the flour mixture.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix the milk and melted butter, then stir until combined. Pour this mixture into the flour and cheese mixture and mix gently.
  5. Shape the dough: On a floured surface, gently knead the dough a few times and form it into a ball. Place in a greased baking pan.
  6. Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Brush with melted butter once out of the oven.
  8. Cool slightly, then transfer to a wire rack or serve warm.
