  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons Earl Grey tea leaves or 2 tea bags
  • 1 cup milk (or milk alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional, to taste)
  • Ice (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prep the cherries: Start by pitting and halving the sweet cherries.
  2. Boil the water: In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil.
  3. Infuse the tea: Remove the boiling water from heat and add the Earl Grey tea leaves or bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the cherries: Add halved cherries and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Sweeten it up: Taste and add sugar or sweetener, adjusting to preference.
  6. Strain the mixture: Use a fine mesh strainer to strain the tea into a heatproof jug.
  7. Mix in the milk: Stir in your chosen milk or milk alternative.
  8. Serve it up: Enjoy warm or serve over ice, garnished with reserved cherry halves.

Notes

Can be served warm or over ice. Add mint or lavender for garnish.
