Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken: Cut your boneless chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Coat with cornstarch: Place the chicken in a bowl and sprinkle it with cornstarch. Toss until every piece is coated.
  3. Heat the oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the chicken: In batches, add the coated chicken pieces to the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Whisk the sauce: While the chicken is frying, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and minced ginger in a separate bowl.
  6. Combine chicken and sauce: Once the chicken is cooked, lower the heat, drain excess oil if needed, and pour your sauce over the chicken to mix and coat evenly.
  7. Garnish: Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions over the dish.
  8. Serve: Serve your Honey Sesame Chicken hot over a bed of rice or with steamed vegetables.

Notes
