Korean Apple Tea

A cozy and comforting drink made with apples, ginger, and spices, perfect for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, sliced
  • 12 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 34 whole cloves
  • 1012 black peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Start with the water: Pour 2 cups of water into a medium-sized pot and set it over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the apples: Once the water is steaming, toss in the sliced apples.
  3. Add ginger and spices: Include the sliced ginger, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and black peppercorns.
  4. Sweeten it up: Drop in the brown sugar and stir until dissolved.
  5. Let it simmer: Bring to a light boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Strain for perfection: Remove from heat and use a fine mesh strainer to strain out the solids.
  7. Serve it up: Pour into mugs and garnish as desired.

Notes

This tea can be served warm or iced. Adjust sweetness to taste.
