Million Dollar Chicken Salad

A delightful chicken salad balancing creamy, crunchy, and refreshing flavors, perfect for sharing with family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 cup grapes, halved
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken: If you’re using a rotisserie chicken, pull the meat off and cut it into bite-sized chunks. Season raw chicken with salt and pepper, poach in simmering water for 15-20 minutes, and then chop.
  2. Mix the Sauce: In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and Dijon mustard. Stir until well mixed, tasting and adjusting to your preference.
  3. Add the Flavor Boosters: Stir in the chopped celery and green onions, adjusting seasoning if necessary.
  4. Incorporate the Chicken: Gently fold the diced chicken into the mixture, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Toss in the Goodies: Add halved grapes and slivered almonds, gently mixing to combine.
  6. Season to Perfection: Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Chill Out: Cover the salad and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to meld flavors.
