Instructions

  1. Prepare your equipment: Gather a large bowl, saucepan, spatula, and a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Melt the butter over low heat in the saucepan.
  3. Add the marshmallows and stir until melted and combined with the butter.
  4. Flavor the mixture by adding cherry flavoring or extract.
  5. Mix in the Rice Krispies, ensuring each piece is coated.
  6. Press the mixture into the greased baking dish evenly.
  7. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals.
  8. Cover the Rice Krispies mixture with the melted chocolate.
  9. Let it cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes to an hour.
  10. Cut into squares or bars and serve.
