  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare an 8×8-inch baking dish by buttering it lightly.
  3. Slice the apples into thin wedges, about 1/4-inch thick.
  4. Mix the sliced apples with 1/2 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, letting them sit for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Combine the flour, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Mix together the melted butter and milk in another bowl.
  7. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  8. Assemble the cobbler by spreading the batter into the baking dish and spooning the apple mixture on top.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  10. Cool for 15 minutes before serving warm.
