Crazy Good Casserole

A comforting casserole filled with tender chicken, creamy goodness, and cheesy delight, perfect for family dinners.

  • 3 cups cooked chicken (shredded)
  • 2 cups egg noodles (uncooked)
  • 1 can (10.5 oz / 300 g) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • ½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon (about 6 slices)
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Mix the cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Combine the cooked egg noodles into the chicken mixture, folding gently.
  5. Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon, and mix well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.
  7. Top with the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbling and golden.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.
