Glazed Strawberry Bread

A tender loaf filled with juicy strawberries and drizzled with a sweet glaze, perfect for any occasion.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup plain yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons strawberry juice or milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a loaf pan by greasing it and lining with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl: melted butter, eggs, and yogurt (or sour cream).
  5. Mix it all together gently to combine dry and wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in the chopped strawberries until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 55–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar with strawberry juice (or milk) until smooth.
  11. Glaze the bread generously over the top.
  12. Slice and serve with your favorite toppings!

Notes

Use fresh strawberries for best flavor. Allow the bread to cool before glazing for the perfect finish.
