Sweet and Simple Nectarine Crisp with Cinnamon Oat Pecan Streusel

A delightful Nectarine Crisp topped with a crunchy cinnamon oat pecan streusel, perfect for summer gatherings and cozy nights.

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup toasted chopped pecans
  • 1 1/3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 9 tablespoons unsalted butter, very soft
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 78 cups chopped nectarines (about 89 large nectarines)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon (for the fruit)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash and chop your nectarines into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Sprinkle the chopped nectarines with 3/4 cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons of cornstarch, 3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Gently toss to coat.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of toasted chopped pecans, 1 1/3 cups of old-fashioned oats, 1 cup of light brown sugar, 3/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  5. Add 9 tablespoons of very soft unsalted butter to the dry mixture. Blend until it forms coarse crumbs.
  6. Pour the fruit mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the streusel topping generously over the nectarines.
  7. Place your crisp in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes.
  8. Remove the crisp from the oven and let it cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for the perfect treat.
