Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups of crushed pretzels
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup (1 and 1/2 sticks) of melted butter
  • 8 oz of cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 8 oz of thawed Cool Whip
  • 23 oz packages of Strawberry Jell-O
  • 1 and 1/2 cups of boiling water
  • 4 cups of thinly sliced strawberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and mix pretzels, butter, and powdered sugar.
  2. Press the mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown, then cool completely.
  4. Blend cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth, then fold in Cool Whip.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  6. Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water and let cool slightly.
  7. Add strawberries to Jell-O and gently mix.
  8. Pour the strawberry mixture over the cream cheese layer and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Notes

Don’t add strawberries to Jell-O when it’s too hot to prevent mushiness. This dessert is best made a day in advance for optimal flavor.
