Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Bake

A comforting casserole featuring tender chicken, vibrant broccoli, and creamy Alfredo sauce, perfect for any family meal.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 8 oz penne or rotini pasta
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  3. Sauté the chicken in olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes, and set aside.
  4. Cook the broccoli in the same skillet for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender.
  5. Make the Alfredo sauce in the skillet by melting butter and sautéing garlic and onion, then stir in the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Combine the cooked pasta, chicken, broccoli, and Alfredo sauce in a large bowl.
  7. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  8. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden, broil for 2-3 minutes for a crispy top if desired.
  10. Cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Can be made ahead of time and frozen for convenience. Serve with a sprinkle of fresh herbs for added flavor.
