Maple Glazed Apple Blondies

Delightful and moist Apple Blondies topped with a rich maple glaze, perfect for fall.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 large apples (chopped finely)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp butter (for glaze)
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and dark brown sugar until creamy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until combined.
  6. Fold in the finely chopped apples.
  7. Spread the batter in the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Sauté the apples in butter with brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until tender.
  9. In a saucepan, melt butter and mix with maple syrup, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon to create the glaze.
  10. Remove the blondies from the oven, cool slightly, then drizzle with the maple glaze.
  11. Slice and serve your delicious blondies.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Leftovers can be stored at room temperature for up to 3 days.
