Southern Peach Bread

A delightful Southern Peach Bread that brings together sweet, juicy peaches and the comforting warmth of home baking.

  • 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it with butter or cooking spray.
  3. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt) in a separate bowl.
  6. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped peaches carefully.
  8. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
