  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 soft sandwich buns
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef: Season the beef chuck roast liberally with salt and pepper. Optionally sear in a hot pan for added flavor.
  2. Layer in the Crockpot: Place the sliced onions at the bottom of the crockpot and position the seasoned beef on top.
  3. Add the Sauce: Pour barbecue sauce over the beef.
  4. Cook Low and Slow: Set the crockpot to low for about 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  5. Shred the Beef: Once cooked, shred the beef in the crockpot with juices and onions.
