Burrata Bruschetta

A delicious appetizer featuring crispy ciabatta topped with creamy burrata, ripe tomatoes, and balsamic glaze.

  • 4 slices of ciabatta bread
  • 250 g burrata
  • 2 large ripe tomatoes
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 handful of fresh basil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the ciabatta bread into generous pieces, about ¾ inch thick.
  3. Place the ciabatta slices on a baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle them lightly with olive oil, and sprinkle a little salt and pepper on top.
  5. Pop them into the oven and toast for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Chop the ripe tomatoes into bite-sized pieces.
  7. Add finely diced garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and torn basil leaves to the tomatoes.
  8. Stir to combine the flavors and let it rest for a few minutes.
  9. Grab the toasted ciabatta and layer with the tomato mixture.
  10. Spoon burrata onto each slice.
  11. Drizzle a little balsamic vinegar over the top and sprinkle with sea salt.

Notes

For variations, consider adding roasted vegetables, olives, or pesto for different flavor profiles.
