Turkey Chili

A warm and hearty turkey chili infused with spices and a hint of pumpkin for extra flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) Canned Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 can Black Beans
  • 1 can Kidney Beans
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 Onion, diced
  • 2 Bell Peppers, chopped
  • 4 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 12 cups Water or Broth

Instructions

  1. Sauté the aromatics: Heat olive oil, add onion and bell peppers, and sauté for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add the garlic and sauté for another minute.
  3. Brown the turkey, breaking it up and cooking for 7-10 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle the spices and let cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Pour in the diced tomatoes and add the beans.
  6. Stir in the pumpkin puree.
  7. Simmer the mixture for 30-40 minutes.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.

Notes

Customize with your favorite toppings like cilantro, sour cream, or shredded cheese. This chili freezes well too!
