A delightful twist on traditional pumpkin pie, these Easy Pumpkin Pie Twists feature golden, flaky pastry swirled with spiced pumpkin filling.

Ingredients

  • Puff Pastry (1 sheet)
  • Canned Pumpkin Puree (1 cup)
  • Granulated Sugar (½ cup)
  • Cinnamon (1 tsp)
  • Nutmeg (¼ tsp)
  • Vanilla Extract (1 tsp)
  • Egg (1, for egg wash)
  • Turbinado Sugar (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare your workspace by dusting with flour.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry if desired.
  4. Make the pumpkin filling by mixing pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Cut the pastry into 2-inch wide strips.
  6. Twist the pastry over the filling, sealing edges and creating twists.
  7. Egg wash the tops of the twists.
  8. Sprinkle turbinado sugar on top.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly and serve.

Notes

You can experiment with swaps like sweet potato puree instead of pumpkin or add a chocolate drizzle for a different flavor profile.
