Baked Apples

A classic comfort dessert featuring sweet, cinnamon-kissed baked apples.

Ingredients

  • 8 Apples (Gala, Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Fuji)
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 7 tbsp Butter (cut into pats)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prep the apples by washing them and removing the core.
  3. Make the filling by mixing brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch.
  4. Fill the apples with the mixture.
  5. Add butter on top of each filled apple.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes covered, then 15 minutes uncovered.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Try adding pecans, dried cranberries, or dark chocolate for variations.
